Kim coordinates and manages a wide variety of legal projects for the company and its affiliated entities. She manages the company’s legal department and oversees the acquisition and syndication of its investments in LIHTC partnerships and other state tax credit transactions. She works with lenders who finance Sugar Creek’s investments and coordinates and manages outside counsel. Kim also handles all legal aspects related to state LIHTC legislative efforts.
Prior to joining Sugar Creek in 2014, Kim was a shareholder in the Affordable Housing and Tax Credit Finance and Development Practice Group at Polsinelli. She advised investor, developer and lender clients in the development and financing of affordable housing and community development projects using Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, New Markets Tax Credits, Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credits, Renewable Energy Tax Credits and various state tax credits.
Kim received her law degree, magna cum laude, from Saint Louis University in 1998.
Kim climbed an active volcano with her husband and two kids.
